Nottingham based AI startup Blueskeye AI has been given approval by the Medical and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency ( MHRA) to begin clinical trials of its TrueBlue perinatal mental health App. The app uses artificial intelligence to scan peoples’ faces and voices and can identify and monitor signs of depression.

BlueSkeye AI has partnered with Cornes Technologies of Japan to promote its B-Automotive SDK and leverage Cornes Technologies' expertise and networks to partner and collaborate with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in Japan.

Blueskeye AI, recently appeared in an episode of the BBC current affairs programme Panorama.

ISO27001 is an international compliance framework set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

When University of Nottingham and Horizon Digital Economy Research academic and filmmaker Richard Ramchurn wanted to push the boundaries of how interactive a film could be, he turned to former colleague and entrepreneur Professor Michel Valstar.

Valstar’s start up, BlueSkeye AI, is a spin out from the University of Nottingham designed to commercialise the Professor’s 18 years of experience in affective computing and social signal processing. Experience which has led to the publication of over 100 papers, cited over 16000 times.

BlueSkeye was named as one of the 100 most impressive digital transformation organisations in the UK. BlueSkeye will be up against nine other Tech innovators at an awards ceremony in Leeds on 22 June.

Advances in machine learning, and over 18 years of academic research by myself and my team in affective computing and social signal processing have allowed us to develop software that can reliably and consistently identify signs of long term and acute illness.

Should they wish, car and truck manufacturers could easily, or with a little enhancement, incorporate the software into preexisting safety monitoring systems.

Blueskeye AI was one of two runners up in the Mental Health and Wellbeing category at the annual Digital Leaders Impact Awards at Media City in Manchester on 22 March.

The Awards celebrate digital innovations that improve people’s lives and the world around us. They are open to any individual, business, government or non-profit using digital products or services for positive social or environmental benefit.

Blueskeye AI won the Innovation Award at the annual Medilink Midlands Business Awards at the University of Birmingham on 16 March.

The Award, sponsored by intellectual property lawyers Barker Bretell, recognises the development of an innovative technology, design or process that has produced a major improvement in business performance and impacted the market.
