BlueSkeye AI shortlisted for International Automotive Technology Award.

Blueskeye AI, a leading provider of machine learning technology for affective and social signal analysis, has been shortlisted  for the European Start Up of the Year award at the European Informa Tech Awards.

The award recognises the company’s commitment to technological innovation. It focuses on Blueskeye’s endeavours to go beyond helping car makers meet  emerging  safety regulations, to providing them with data that will allow them to create intelligent cockpits that personalise their passengers’ in-car experience. It also recognises the potential of Blueskeye’s technology to, one day, allow cars to play  a role in the early detection of serious illnesses, such as dementia.

The award is made as part of AutoTech Europe, an annual international conference and exhibition focussed on future technologies with applications in the motor industry. The event is organised by automotive intelligence company Wards Auto. The award will be presented at a ceremony in Berlin in November this year.

Professor Michel Valstar, Founding CEO of Blueskeye AI welcomed the nomination saying,

“This is our first award nomination in the automotive sector and our first international nomination. I'm absolutely delighted and it shows the progress we are making.

We are currently working with a number of globally recognised motor manufacturers as they develop the next generation of software defined vehicles.

We’re integrating our emotion recognition AI into their vehicles and giving them the capability to build intelligent cockpits that can detect their passengers mood and respond to it, personalising every journey to the optimum level for individual passengers.’’

This year BlueSkeye has won three awards, the Medilink Midlands Business Award for Innovation in March, the DigiLeaders Emerging Tech of the Year in June and most recently Best AI Start Up at the CogX Festival in London, in September.

Blueskeye AI is shortlisted alongside two others.
