BlueSkeye AI wins Medilink Midlands Business Award for Innovation

Blueskeye AI won the Innovation Award at the annual Medilink Midlands Business Awards at the University of Birmingham on 16 March.

The Award, sponsored by intellectual property lawyers Barker Bretell, recognises the development of an innovative technology, design or process that has produced a major improvement in business performance and impacted the market.

Collecting the award BlueSkeye AI Director of Business Development and Customer Success, Dr Sarah Wright said,

“We’re absolutely thrilled and delighted for BlueSkeye to be recognised for its innovative approach to using machine learning to objectively and automatically analyse face and voice data, to interpret medically relevant expressed behaviour in an ethical way to help clinicians, patients and their friends and families assess, treat and monitor health, mood and mental state.

Winning shows how far we’ve come in the last year since winning Medilink’s “One to Watch” Award. Since then we have launched a new software development kit (SDK) and developed two further SDKs which help companies utilise our technology in their products in the health, wellbeing and automotive sectors.”

BlueSkeye will now go on to compete for a Medilink UK National Award. The winners will be announced as part of the MedTech Innovation Conference & Expo (MTI), taking place on 7 and 8 June 2023.

The Medilink Business Awards celebrate the businesses at the forefront of healthcare innovation and the thriving life sciences community in the region.
