BlueSkeye AI Digital Leaders Impact Award in Mental Health and Wellbeing

Blueskeye AI was one of two runners up in the Mental Health and Wellbeing category at the annual Digital Leaders Impact Awards at Media City in Manchester on 22 March.

The Awards celebrate digital innovations that improve people’s lives and the world around us. They are open to any individual, business, government or non-profit using digital products or services for positive social or environmental benefit.

The award went to R,pple Suicide Awareness. R;pple have created an interactive tool which can be configured to identify and intercept searches for harmful content on the web. Once identified and before serving the results displaying a message of hope followed by contact details, using a  for a selection of 24/7, free mental health charity partners. This is done without identifying the individual searching.

“Congratulations to R;pple who have produced a really simple innovative digital intervention for a critical mental health issue. I really hope that the award acts as a driver for even wider adoption of their approach.

The UK, and the world, is currently facing a mental health crisis and technology like R;pple’s, our own, and some of the others showcased at the event has the potential to make a real impact.”

The awards attracted over 300 entrants. Finalists participated in a 2 stage judging process which included a virtual presentation.
