Mani has 6 years of research and development experience in Computer Vision and Applied Machine Learning. Before starting at BlueSkeye, he was a PhD candidate at the University of Nottingham. His doctoral research focused on uncertainty-aware and label-efficient deep learning for facial and vocal emotion recognition.
Prior to joining grad school, he worked in industrial R&D projects on driver monitoring systems, in which he developed low-latency ML models for embedded systems. He received his Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering from IIIT RK Valley. Mani is interested in solving problems at the confluence of statistical machine learning, human expressive behaviour analysis, and software engineering.
