Blueskeye heads to InCabin Europe, Barcelona 2026
2026-09-16
Date: 22nd - 24th September
Location: La Farga de L'Hospitalet, Barcelona
Booth number: 326
Who’s joining from Blueskeye:
Professor Michel Valstar, Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer
Andy Pope, Business Development Director, Automotive
Blueskeye is heading back to InCabin Europe this September, where it will exhibit alongside Noelte Group and showcase its latest technology including detection of emotion, early drowsiness, impairment and depression. The event, held from 22nd–24th September 2026 at La Farga de L'Hospitalet, Barcelona, will see Blueskeye demonstrate how in-cabin sensing can do more than support safety and comfort - it can help enable early detection of mental health conditions affecting drivers.
Blueskeye previously attended InCabin Barcelona in 2024, where its speaking session looked at going beyond basic safety warnings. The talk explored how Driver and Occupant Monitoring Systems could detect when a driver is happy or frustrated while using a vehicle feature, giving automakers the insight to identify friction points and refine features earlier in the design process.
This year, the focus sharpens further: how in-cabin sensing can help detect and support common mental health disorders. Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer, Professor Michel Valstar, will take part in two sessions across the event.
Roundtable discussion
Using cars to improve lives: what's the commercial path for in-cabin mental health detection?
Tuesday 22nd September, 17:15 - 18:00, Mezzanine Balcony
Professor Valstar will join a panel discussion and explore how OEMs can develop a viable commercial strategy around in-cabin mental health detection, covering customer value, regional regulatory pathways, and the role of complementary devices such as wearables.
Speaking session
Using cars to improve lives: in-cabin sensing of common mental health disorders
Thursday 24th September, 12:15 - 12:40, Room 6
In this session, Professor Valstar will present the case for the vehicle cabin as one of the most promising environments for detecting common mental health disorders, and will outline the technical and regulatory steps required to bring such technology to market as a certified medical device.
Blueskeye will share an exhibition stand with Noelte Group throughout the event, where its team will run live demonstrations of its in-cabin sensing capabilities.
Attendees interested in seeing the technology in action or discussing a potential use case can book a meeting with the Blueskeye team here.
